double bedrooms with period and antique furnishings
throughout. There is a large heated swimming pool,
covered terrace, games room and tennis court all
set in
well kept secluded gardens. Situated near the town
of Casteljaloux the property benefits from good
auto-route connections and the airports of Bordeaux
and Toulouse.
There are many peaceful and quaint
villages with markets and good restaurants in the
area along with many activities such as horse riding,
golf and
an aqua
park
for
the more energetic.

Manoir
Serenitas when purchased, was a total ruin
with all the outbuildings in the same state, it was decided
that
a large part of the house had to be taken down and rebuilt
and for this reason the property is now able
to offer lots of character and charm but also
incorporates all the modern comforts. The building
work took two years to
complete and everything has been done
to a high standard.

or twin beds, wardrobe and chest drawers. Bedroom 1
also has a bath and private balcony over looking the
pool. There is also one bedroom on the ground floor
with ensuite which is ideal for the elderly or disabled
guests. |

Manoir
Serenitas is situated just outside the small village of Fargues-sur-Ourboise.
The village has a few small shops for purchasing most items and
Casteljaloux is 8 minutes away offering a full range of shops,
several restaurants and market days twice a week.
Casteljaloux boasts a wonderful ' Bains ' if
you feel like having massages to mud baths look up their web-site
on, www.casteljaloux.com the entrance fee is very modest at around
18€. Just on the edge of the town is a golf
course, a very large lake with sandy beach, fishing, swimming,
restaurant on the jetty, huge
children’s slide and walks through pine forests. A
riding school is nearly opposite the lake where one can hire
horses or take lessons. Being in the countryside it all looks
so peaceful with nothing going on, but there is if you want to
do things, Marmande about 20 mins away has another golf course and
an airport if someone wishes to take flying lesson or just go
for a flight around the countryside or take a glider up for an
hour. This much larger town holds many festivals
and music evenings throughout the summer.

The region is full
of places to visit and activities to partake in. With casteljaloux
sitting on the edge of the La Foret Des Landes De Gascogne there
are forests that go all the way to the coast and the roads running
through are a delight to drive along as you pass through old
villages.

-Nerac: A village steeped in medieval history
and offering boat trips on the river winding through the countryside.
-Arachon: A very elegant town from the 1920's
with a huge enclosed bay and sandy beaches. Further along is
Pyla with it's very famous Dunes and then along to Biscarrosse
with Europe's largest inland fresh water lake.
-Medoc / Bordeaux: A short drive away and is
home to some 240 chateaux's including the famous Mouton Rothchild,
Chateaux Margaux and Chateaux Latour. Outside
evening entertainment can also be found in a variety of villages
over the summer period where the streets get closed off, tables
get laid out and music and alfresco eating till late.
